How to be Visible + Social Media for BUSINESS

I have recently been invited by Anglia Ruskin University in Cambridge to give a talk and advice during Creative Fronts which took place last month.
The event consisted in a series of talks and one-to-one sessions which would help students and graduates to understand how to set up and run a business in the creative industries.
The creative industries have long been an overlooked sector in Cambridgeshire!
Creative Fron in association with Anglia Ruskin University have created the network because they believe that if everyone in the creative sector got together, a powerful community of individuals and organisations would form!

My presentation to students and graduates focused on the importance of being visible and social media when starting up a business. Learning how to use social media for marketing, to benefit your business and enhance your reputation is an asset that all entrepreneurs should have.
  • How to use Twitter, Facebook and Instagram to increase your visibility with potential client?
  • How my practice won work using social media as marketing tool?
  • How you can use LinkedIn to create your powerful network of collaborators?
In addition I have discussed what our practice looks for when hiring new talent, which applies to other sectors as well. In 2011 I founded MCMM Architettura Ltd, an Interior Design and Architectural practice which is generating success and satisfaction for me but most importantly for my clients.

If you wish to know more about the presentation or about our business, please do get in touch! Happy to answer all your questions and enquiries!

Ciao!

Bom Dia Lisboa!

Bom Dia!
Just go back but a piece of my heart is still there!
Lisboa! Lisbon! Lisbona! Lissabon! Lizbon!

The colours, the textures, the details!
Anywhere you can spot gorgeously detailed building covered with handmade tiles.. Floral and geometrical designs make every house so different from the next one! What a glorious collection of arts, design, architecture. Lisbon has Moorish, Arab, Germanic influences but the Portuguese managed to make of that a particularly extraordinary style.

Alfama and Belem are the most suggestive and historical neighbourhoods while Baixa has been elegantly designed after the 1755 earthquake which destroyed most of the city. Chiado is the place to be with chic shops and boutiques while Bairro Alto is a gorgeous old residential area full of charm.
Further away the International EXPO Site built in 1998 and still looking cool and sleek!

Olá!

A useful piece of furniture!

Extremly interesting idea to create a kitchenette which quickly turns into a great piece of furniture!
How does it all work..??
I always believe drawings and photos are the best way to expalin a concept..

The materias used are of extreme high quality which transform the piece into a tremendous element which enriches the space around it. Functional with an integrated stainless sink, hob, compact fridge and high-tech microwave. All sockets and lights have been designed and integrated in order to provide a fully-working piece of appliance. The attention to deatils makes this element extremely beautiful and sophisticated. This piece of furniture works extremly well in holiday lettings, especially seasonal.

Off to Cambridge University today!

Yes, that's right!
I've been invited to give a presentation of my work in Cambridge to the students of the Faculty of Architecture! What an honour!!
The day is today, one hour to go and I'm here sitting in a wonderful cafe just opposite the Department of Architecture. I don't feel nervous but I can definitely feel the adrenaline. It's such an exciting opportunity and a fun adventure.

The assembly room is ready! Students should be here any minute and I'm using those precious second to appreciate this spectacular place, the atmosphere in this department is simply fascinating. The building has been recently restored and extended in order to create more resourceful areas for the students.

Attention to detail is key! Everything is beautifully done and specifically thought out. Great material and outstanding finishes, exposed bricks and gorgeous furniture. Extremely chuffed to be here to give a talk about my own work.
The head of the department has approved my presentation and found interesting out I've touched such interesting characteristics of the city of Cambridge. I'm delighted and the students were interested and followed my speech all the way thorough..
After all I really had to perform to my best considering who they're used to listen to..

Honoured and over the moon! I've been eventually asked to form part of the jury of an internal architectural competition at the university of Cambridge. Wow!
..and that was my day today!

Ciao!
